Stelton
Copenhagen, 1960, and the Birth of an Icon
Stelton was founded in 1960 in Copenhagen by Niels Stellan Høm and Carton Madelaire. The name is a composition of the founder’s first name. Since 2004, the brand has been owned by the Ring family. What has defined Stelton over six decades is not many products, but a few that endure.
Cylinda-Line and EM77
In 1967, Arne Jacobsen designed the Cylinda-Line, a tea service in stainless steel with round forms and without a single superfluous handle. The series now stands in design museums worldwide. Ten years later came the EM77 vacuum jug by Erik Magnussen: the iconic tipping-closure carafe, still in production today and one of the best-selling Scandinavian design objects.
Innovation and Tradition
Stelton combines traditional craftsmanship with modern materials and technologies. The range includes thermal carafes, thermal and coffee mugs, kitchen utensils, serving ware and home accessories in stainless steel. Every piece follows the design heritage of the brand: clear, functional, lasting.
Made for Life
Stelton thinks in long time horizons. Many products are constructed with replaceable individual parts so they remain in use for years or decades. ‘Made for Life’ is not a slogan but the product philosophy.
Stelton x One Horizon
At One Horizon, we carry Stelton because Danish design of this depth is rare. If you’re looking for a carafe, a mug or a kitchen object that carries design heritage and works in everyday life, Stelton has both.
